  • Summer 2025

First, you all have my apologies for my absence; I spent most of my summer away from home doing what I love most: playing music and enjoying nature! Now that I’m back to school and getting used to my typical pace of life, I’m happy to be posting again. These are some of my favorite pictures from the last few months. There’s a special lucky photo at the end!

    Monteux School and Music Festival

I spent five weeks studying orchestral music and conducting at the school founded by Pierre Monteux, the conductor most famed for having premiered Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring. It was a beautiful experience, and one which I hope to repeat! Most of the pictures I have are nothing to do with music, but that’s where I was. I am also extremely proud to have received a comprehensive scholarship in exchange for my photography; look out for any of my work in their marketing materials!

    Blue Mountain Chamber Music Festival

BMF has been a huge part of my life since I first attended as a student, beginning at age nine. I am honored to now attend as a junior faculty member in the young professionals program. The campus at Mount Saint Mary’s University is beautiful, and I took multiple photo walks between rehearsals and performances.

    Other Projects

I always work to develop my skills and technique, and this summer’s work has been no exception. I have been integrating my flash into my static workflow, which I’m showcasing here with miniatures painted by my partner Joanna. I also spent another afternoon at Wamsley Violins photographing a few beautiful bows from their collection

    Special Lucky Photo

I didn’t really do anything to deserve such an awesome photo, but circumstances aligned such that this exists! Aside from the crop and a denoise pass, this photo is an entirely unedited image of my cat Virmire’s eye, with myself, Joanna, and our friend Amanda visible in the reflection.

    Conclusion

Thanks for looking at all these pictures. It really means a lot to me that I have a platform on which to share them since conventional social media doesn’t make me happy or allow for the kind of posting I actually like to do. I hope you enjoyed everything and I’m looking forward to sharing more photos! I’m hoping to learn more genres as well; feel free to share any suggestions with me!
